While socializing and helping others
is the primary goal of the Eagles, the charitable work is very
unique to other organizations.
100% of all charity funds raised go directly to charity.
Locally the Asbury eagles Club has raised and obtained grants for a number of different project which have included:
- Three $1,000 CPR grants for the Asbury Fire Department after they completed community CPR classes.
- Two college scholarships each year for two local students.
- Yearly naming a "Teacher of the Year" and awarding $100 to further education in the classroom.
- Financial assistance to Boy Scout Eagle projects.
- Funds raised for the Wendt Regional Cancer Center.
- Funds raised for park equipment in the Asbury City Park.
- Funds raised for the Maria House for homeless mothers and children.
- Funds raised for the child abuse center at Blank Children's Hospital.
- Funds raised for the Disabled American Veterans van fund drive and their We Care Program.
- Funds raised for Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque.
- Funds raised for the Marshalltown Veteran's Home Library.
- Funds raised for the Asbury Area Athletic Association.
- Funds raised for LaSalle Catholic School.
- Funds raised for Heartland EMS.
- Funds raised for the Robert Hansen Diabetes Fund.
- Funds raised for the Dubuque County Emergency Responder Training Facility.
- Funds raised for Relay for Life.
- Funds raised for Luther Manor.
- Funds raised for Audobon School PTA.
- Funds raised for the Dubuque Chapter of the US Navy League.
- Funds raised for the Asbury Fire Department.
- Funds raised for the Dubuque Food Pantry.
- Funds raised for Sunnycrest Manor.
Fundraising has included annual golf outings, raffles, special events
at the club, and supporting the club in general by frequenting the club
when open.
